VOIP Technician

The VOIP Technician will provide consultation, design, installation, support, configuration, programming, MAC, update/upgrade, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of voice network and system components, peripherals, and software. The technician will also provide peripheral support of ancillary telephony systems, including but not limited to Call Accounting, Call Recording, Cisco ACD and Touchpoint. VoIP conversion, discovery, implementation and testing.
Experience Requirements
  • Familiar with Telephony components and architecture
         o Ability to identify and terminate phone lines
         o Expert understanding of VoIP concepts
  • Ability to install and test phone equipment
  • Moderate Understating of Network components and architecture
  • Ability to work in NOC to identify and trouble shoot voice related issues
  • Excellent customer service/team work skill
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to operate a vehicle
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints
  • Ability to perform site surveys
  • Ability to operate a digital camera
  • 5+ years field experience in the Data and Voice industry, especially in Cisco Call Manager support and implementations
  • Ability to troubleshoot voice issues, and escalate as necessary
  • Adherence to location security procedures
  • Strong communication skills
  • Cisco certifications a plus
