Technical Team Lead - Analytics

As a technical lead the successful candidate will work closely with the project manager and project architect and will be accountable for meeting deliverables, developing world class software and for guiding, executing with and developing the team. In addition, will look to the team lead to work with business to suggest simple, maintainable product and project features which meet/anticipate customer needs.
What You'll Do
  • You will determine specifications, to plan, design and develop the most complex and business critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes either individually or in collaboration with project team
  • You will design and produce detailed technical architecture guidelines and standards for the use of relevant of technologies and protocols
  • You will research and maintain knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business
  • You will assist in troubleshooting the most difficult and mission critical technical problems
  • You will act as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor and change agent
  • You will provide technical solution recommendations
  • You will govern the definitions of system and integration software technology and design standards
  • You will act as the highest level technical expert to realize strategic goals addressing: all aspects of architectural complexity, compatibility and platform diversity
  • You will engage in architectural governance processes; uphold and apply strategic enterprise architectural direction; conduct peer reviews of artifacts developed by other architects, designers and technology partners
  • You will work with solution designers to ensure systems meeting critical non-functional needs
  • You will be a liaison with third party vendors across and between projects where applicable to ensure systems and integrations remain cohesive and adequately support enterprise wide purpose, reuse and scalability
  • You will assist in troubleshooting the most difficult and mission critical technical problems
  • You will act as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor and change agent
  • You will produce documentation, diagrams and other architectural artifacts that may be required in pursuit of the above
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in the following technologies: Python, Hadoop, MapReduce, GridGain, HPCC, Spark, Spark Streaming, Flume, and Kafka
  • Experience using data analysis techniques like predictive regression modeling and machine learning including supervised or unsupervised learning techniques and algorithms. (K-NN, SVM, RVM, Naive Bayes, Decision trees, etc.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience
  • A ISEB certified practitioner in enterprise and solution architecture
  • Killer communication skills and your maturity is off the charts
  • Collaborative and enjoy working with a stellar team
